President, Chief Executive Officer
Robert graduated from California State Polytechnic University with Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance and Law in 1984. He was employed at First Interstate Bank until 1985 when he started his career in the real estate investment industry as a broker for Cambio Investments, Inc. He was involved in brokerage activities and won an award for the most successful new agent in 1985 and 1986. Robert joined a startup investment firm, CapitalVest Realty, Inc., in 1986 and was involved in many facets of that company’s growth and development. Those areas of involvement include structure, asset management, property management, property acquisition and disposition, general brokerage and capital funding for new projects. Robert formed Clippinger Investment Properties, Inc. in 1994 and has owned and operated the company ever since. His activities include brokerage activities, asset and property management including renovation and lease up management for newly acquired assets and capital formation for new real estate investments and asset management for over 150 investors. In addition, Robert was the former Chairman of the Board of Directors for Gateway Business Bank where he also served as the Chairman of the Audit Committee and served as President of the Trulis Business Park Association and the Laguna Niguel Business Center Owner’s Association. The latter are both non-profit associations formed to operate communities of primarily office properties in San Clemente and Laguna Niguel. Robert has developed real estate portfolios for clients and partnerships in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Sacramento markets. Robert has developed award winning mixed use property in Sacramento and managed the renovation and sale of luxury condominiums in Downtown Sacramento. Robert has managed the renovation of historic national monument residential properties in Los Angeles. Robert Clippinger has maintained a strong commercial brokerage presence in Orange, Los Angeles and Sacramento markets.
Chief Financial Officer
Grant has over 15 years of commercial real estate investment experience. Prior to joining Clippinger Investment properties in August 2020, Grant was an Executive Director, and the West regional financial head at J.P. Morgan Asset Management – Real Estate Americas. An employee since 2005, Grant was responsible for all property and fund financial operations and reporting for over $15B of assets under management, with a main focus in California and the Pacific Northwest. Throughout his career, Grant has been involved in financial due diligence, fund structuring, revenue recognition and performance analysis across the office, multi-family, industrial, retail and land product types. Investment strategies have ranged across all risk spectrums from stabilized core to ground up development. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Grant began his career as an audit associate with Ernst & Young in New York, NY. Grant holds a B.A. in Accounting and Marketing from Fairfield University.
Vice President, Operations
Froukje Zieleman, Vice President Operations, has more that eighteen years of experience in commercial real estate. This experience includes roles as executive administrative assistant Capital Finance Department and later to CFO as well as manager of commercial real estate.
Vice President, Marketing & Design
Sam has over 15 years of management experience with an emphasis on marketing, sales, business development and client/corporate communications & design. Prior to joining Clippinger Investment Properties in 2012, Sam was Vice President of Sales for Merrill, Business Development Manger for Serpico P.C., & Director of Communications for Diversified Private Equity Corporation. He is currently a licensed Salesperson with the California Bureau of Real Estate, as well as an independent Commercial & Interior Designer. Sam graduated Cum Laude and holds a Bachelor of Finance degree from Seton Hall University. In his spare time, he teaches cycling and enjoys weekend hikes with his silver labradors.
Andrew has over 5 years of commercial and residential real estate finance and property management experience. Prior to joining Clippinger Investment Properties in February 2020, he graduated from California Polytechnic State University: San Luis Obispo with a degree in business finance, emphasizing in real estate transactions. His prior professional roles includes roles as Assistant Project Manager for C&C Development, Financial Analyst for Sentinel Real Estate Group, and Project/Property Manager for Osklo.
