Robert Clippinger
President, Chief Executive Officer

Robert graduated from California State Polytechnic University with Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance and Law in 1984. He was employed at First Interstate Bank until 1985 when he started his career in the real estate investment industry as a broker for Cambio Investments, Inc. He was involved in brokerage activities and won an award for the most successful new agent in 1985 and 1986. Robert joined a startup investment firm, CapitalVest Realty, Inc., in 1986 and was involved in many facets of that company’s growth and development. Those areas of involvement include structure, asset management, property management, property acquisition and disposition, general brokerage and capital funding for new projects. Robert formed Clippinger Investment Properties, Inc. in 1994 and has owned and operated the company ever since. His activities include brokerage activities, asset and property management including renovation and lease up management for newly acquired assets and capital formation for new real estate investments and asset management for over 150 investors. In addition, Robert is the former Chairman of the Board of Directors for Gateway Business Bank where he also serves as the Chairman of the Audit Committee and served as President of the Trulis Business Park Association and the Laguna Niguel Business Center Owner’s Association. The latter are both non-profit associations formed to operate communities of primarily office properties in San Clemente and Laguna Niguel. Robert has developed real estate portfolios for clients and partnerships in Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, Sacramento markets. Robert developed award winning mixed use property in Sacramento and managed the renovation and sale of luxury condominiums in Downtown Sacramento. Robert has managed the renovation of historic national monument residential properties in Los Angeles. Robert Clippinger has maintained a strong commercial brokerage presence in Orange, Los Angeles and Sacramento markets.

Michael Lord
Chief Financial Officer

Michael has more than 10 years of public accounting and private sector experience, which encompasses audit, accounting, tax, and other relevant consulting services. Michael has extensive experience with public and private real estate companies along with specific expertise in working with private equity funds, pension funds investing in real estate, commercial and residential property owners and operators, hotels and resorts, real estate developers, homebuilders and land developers.

Michael’s current responsibility includes serving real estate companies as their outsourced CFO. He is responsible for all aspects of financial and income tax reporting. Michael’s previous responsibilities included the planning and audit program development of all assigned audit engagements, the direct supervision of all audit field work, workpaper review, review for compliance with laws and contracts and the preparation of financial statements and tax returns. 

Froukje Zieleman
Vice President, Operations

Froukje Zieleman, Vice President Operations, has more that eighteen years of experience in commercial real estate. This experience includes roles as executive administrative assistant Capital Finance Department and later to CFO as well as manager of commercial real estate.

Alex Fong
Regional Manager, Northern & Southern California

Alex Fong serves as the Assistant Property Manager for Clippinger Investment Properties specializing in the leasing and management of office, retail, and industrial property in Orange County. Prior to joining Clippinger Investment Properties, Alex worked for Sperry Commercial, formerly Sperry Van Ness, in Irvine, California. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Business Economics and Music from the University of California, Irvine. He is also a licensed Salesperson with the California Bureau of Real Estate since 2011.

Sam Kassim
Vice President, Marketing & Communications

Sam has over 15 years of management experience with an emphasis on marketing, sales, business development and client/corporate communications. Prior to joining Clippinger Investment Properties in 2012, Sam was Vice President of Sales for Merrill, Business Development Manger for Serpico P.C., & Director of Communications for Diversified Private Equity Corporation.  Sam graduated Cum Laude and holds a Bachelor of Arts Finance degree from Seton Hall University. He is also a licensed Salesperson with the California Bureau of Real Estate since 2013. Sam also teaches cycling and enjoys weekend hikes with his silver labradors.
